Perfect Palette Tag!

I have a confession.

I LOVE eyeshadow palettes.

It might be an addiction. I'm not sure. But when I saw the Perfect Palette tag I knew I had to do it. Enough about that, let's get onto the questions.

1. Best Packaging

My favorite packaging is definitely the Too Faced Naked Eye palette. I actually prefer Too Faced cardboard packaging over the newer metal packaging. This palette is pink, lacy, and compact. I almost wish that every eyeshadow palette I owned was in this packaging!

2. Best Color Payoff

The LORAC Pro Palette is the palette in my collection with the best color payoff. All of the shades are buttery, smooth, and so so pigmented. I have to restrain myself when using this palette because the shades are more pigmented than any other palette I have tried!

3. Most Versatile

This might be cheating, but my most versatile palette would I have to be the palette that I created using depotted Wet n Wild, Black Radiance, and Sonia Kashuk shadows with one NYX shadow in the corner. I actually threw away the insert and shadows in my Bh Cosmetics 28 Color Neutral Palette because they were not pigmented at all, so this allowed me to create my own "Z-Palette." It has a rainbow colors that I would wear in many finishes so it is definitely the most versatile for me.

4. Best for Travel

The Too Faced Natural Eye palette is probably my top choice for traveling. It has hard metal packaging so it will be safe in a suitcase and is slim so it won't take up too much room. It has a great range of colors which are perfect for any occasion. (And I know it looks like I haven't use this palette a lot and that's because I got it a few days ago so I haven't a chance to use it much, yet!)

5. Biggest Regret

Besides the Bh Cosmetics 28 Neutral Palette (mentioned in question #3), my biggest regret would have to be the Balm's Nude Tude Palette. The colors are very pigmented and gorgeous but I just never reach for it over my other neutral palettes. I think that for me there are too many dark shades and don't tend to use a lot of dark shadow...

6. Best Color Names

I'm sorry I mentioned this palette twice, but that's how much I love it! I truly think that the Too Faced Naked Eye palette has the best color names. I always giggle a little when I read that I'm using "Like a Virgin" or "Lap Dance." I actually think that Too Faced has the best color names in general!

7. Least Used

My least used palette is the E.L.F. Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow palette in Natural. I have swatched this many times to remind myself that it is actually quite pigmented but I never reach for it over my other palettes. I think I have only applied this to my eyes once...

8. Most Used, Most Loved, Desert Island

I'm going to cheat a little and do each of these separately.

My most used palette is the Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral (matte) palette. It has a great range of matte shades that are very pigmented and blendable. I use this alone, with other eyeshadow singles, or with other palettes. It is just so useful because it has the essential highlighting, blending, crease, and accent shades.

My most loved palette would have to be the Urban Decay Naked 3 paletteI always find myself going back to it if I don't know which palette to use. It has a great range of light to dark shades and is so so pigmented. I have never been disappointed with the eye look I created with this palette. I just love it so much!

If I had to go to a desert island with just one palette I would chose the Too Faced Natural Eye palette. I love every single shade in this palette, which is something that I can't say about any other palette I own. With four mattes and five shimmery shades you can create any (neutral) eye look!

Let me know what you guys think about my palette picks! Also, feel free to answer these questions in the comments below or link your YouTube video or blog post about this tag and I will be sure to check it out.

Comprehensive Urban Decay Naked 1, 2, and 3 Palettes Dupe List

The Urban Decay Naked Palettes are all the rage these days, especially with the new Naked 3 palette, so I wanted to make a list of all of the Naked palette dupes that I've come across!

To start, here's a look at the original Naked palettes ($52-$54 each):

I'm going to split this up into Naked 1 and 2 dupes together and Naked 3 dupes separate since the shades in the Naked 3 are much more pink, rose colored. And I have organized each category alphabetically.

Why is this post called "comprehensive"? Well, I have included links to blog posts with helpful reviews and swatches for every dupe that I could find AND links/information about where you can purchase these products! Hope you find this helpful!

Naked 1 and 2 Dupes:

1. Chi Chi Glamorous Eyes in Nude

This palette dupes the original Naked palette almost perfectly! You can see a review here with swatches. It retails for $22.95 on the Chi Chi website, but shipping is quite expensive ($49.50 shipping to the USA or free shipping over orders over $150). So this dupe is best in Australia where it can also be purchased at Target and Myer. But if you live elsewhere, maybe you can find an Aussie friend to send it to you! :)

2. Coastal Scents Revealed Palette

This palette came out a few months ago and has many exact dupes to the Naked 1 and 2. It has 20 eyeshadows for only $19.95, but I have seen this palette on sale for as low as $9.95. You can see Beauty Broadcast's review and comparison here and you can purchase it here

3. Coastal Scents Warm Palette

This palette has 88 neutral shades with some pops of blue, purple, and pink undertone shades for only $7.95-$19.95 depending on what sale is going on. This blog post show you a dupe list from this palette and the Naked 1 palette and this blog post has a review with swatches. You can buy this here

4. E.L.F. Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette in Natural

This palette has 32 neutral shades with many exact Naked 1 and 2 dupes! It contains a range of finishes to create many different looks. Sure, not all of the shades are incredibly pigmented, but for $6, you can't beat it! You can purchase it here and see a review with swatches here.

5. E.L.F. Studio 144-Piece Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette in Natural

For $15, this E.L.F. palette has every neutral shade you could ever want! Maybe not all of the shades are up to par with the Naked palettes, but you still get a lot of colors to work with. This has many shades similar to the Naked 1, 2, and 3. You can purchase this here. DivaMakeupQueen did a video comparison here and a blog post here with swatches and a review.

6. MUA Undressed and Undressed Me Too Palette

These are probably the most well known Naked 1 and 2 palette dupes and they are among the least expensive as well for only $6.58 each. They each contain 12 eyeshadows, which is the same as the Naked's, and the colors coordinate to the Naked 1 and 2 almost exactly. You can see both palettes compared to the Naked palettes here. They can be purchased here for the Undressed palette and here for the Undressed Me Too.

7. NYX Butt Naked Eyes and Butt Naked Turn the Other Cheek Palettes

The Butt Naked Eyes (on the left) has cooler toned eyeshadow shades which is more like the Naked 2 while the Butt Naked Turn the Other Cheek (on the right) has warmer toned eyeshadows which is more like the Naked 1. Both palettes retail for $25 each and can be found here and here or at your local Ulta store.

8. NYX Love in Paris Palettes

These 9 eyeshadow palettes have a range of shades but these two (Parisian Chic on the left and A La Mode on the right) contain neutral shades that mimic the Naked 1 and 2. They both can be bought at your local Ulta, CVS, or Target or here.

9. NYX Nude on Nude Palette

This palette is a very hyped up Naked 1 and 2 dupe! It features 20 eyeshadow shades and 10 lip colors for only $25. You can buy it here or at Ulta and you can see a blog post comparing it to the Naked palettes here.

10. NYX Nude on Nude Natural Look Kit

This palette has 9 eyeshadows and two lip colors for only $12. You can see a this blog post which compares it to the Naked 1 palette and you can purchase it here or at your local Ulta store (maybe Target or CVS).

11. Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow

These palettes contain 9 neutral shimmery eyeshadows that can create gorgeous Naked 1 and 2 duped looks. They come in 4 variations: Natural Nude, Warm Nude, Classic Nude, Smokey Nude. These palettes are $11.99 at Ulta. Here are swatches of all four palettes and here is a comprehensive comparison between the Natural Nude (formerly called "Nude Eyes") palette and the Naked 1.

12. Sleek I-Divine Palette in Storm

Sleek palettes have been raved about because they only cost $11.99 (with very inexpensive shipping to the USA) and are incredibly pigmented. This blog post compares it to the Naked 1 palette and you can see just how similar the shades actually are! You purchase this here.

13. Sonia Kashuk Eye on Couture Palettes

These palettes come in either Eye on Matte or Eye on Shimmer depending on if you want an all matte palette or an all metallic palette. Both palettes cost $19.99 each and feature 12 soft, buttery shades that can give you a dramatic or natural look, depending on what you are going for. These are available in Target stores or available here and here online. This is blog post compares the shimmer palette to the Naked's and this one shows swatches of the matte palette.

14. The Balm Nude Tude Palette

Yes I know this usually retails for $36 but you can find it every few months on Hautelook.com for $18. It has 12 amazingly pigmented neutral shades and comes in either a "naughty" or "nice" version (both contain the same eyeshadows, just different packaging). You can see a review here and can order it here.

15. Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection in Comfort Zone

This $4.99 palette has 8 uber pigmented neutral shades. These can dupe the neutral colors from the Naked 1 and 2 but they also dupe two of the Naked 3 shades (Trick and Blackheart). You can see swatches here and can find it at your local drugstore.

Naked 3 Dupes:

1. Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow Quad in Designer Chocolates

The rosey metallic eyeshadow in this palette is a dupe for the Naked 3's Buzz and the light brown lid shade is a dupe for Liar. (See a swatch comparison video and blog post here) You also get 3 other neutrals in this palette to balance out the pink shade, making this $6.99 quad a great deal! It can be purchased at Ulta, Target, drugstores, or where ever else Maybelline is sold.

2. NYX Love in Paris Eyeshadow Palette in Eat Cake

This palette has 9 shades with a rosy, pinky undertone for $9.99. It has a mixture of matte, metallic, and glitter shades to create many different eye looks. Sold at Ulta, Target, and select CVS stores.

3. Sonia Kashuk Eyeshadow Quad in Fair and Square

This quad has gorgeous pink and neutral shades with a mix of glitter and metallic shades. It retails for $13.69 on the Target website but you can also buy it in Target stores. The Musings of a Muse has a great blog post here with a review and swatches.

4. Sonia Kashuk Monochrome Eyeshadow Quad in Textured Mauve

This palette is similar to the one above but has all rosey tone shades. It has a matte, subtle shimmer, metallic sheen and sparkle shade. If you love the Naked 3 but just want a few pink shades, then this palette is perfect for you! It is $13.69 on the Target website and in Target stores. You can see swatches and a review here.

5. Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in Walking on Eggshells

The pink toned eyelid shade is a dupe for the Naked 3 Dust. I own this palette and absolutely love the colors! You can see from these swatches that they are incredibly pigmented and have a beautiful finish. You buy this for $2.99 at most drugstores.

6. Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in Sweet as Candy

The pink eyelid shade in this trio is a dupe for Burnout. You also get a very pigmented brown and white with it for only $2.99. You can see swatches here and can find it at your local drugstores or where ever else Wet n Wild is sold.

I hope this post was helpful! Do you have any Naked 1, 2, or 3 dupes that I left off? If so, leave it in the comments below!
